Barkat Food Store – Returns & Refunds Policy

📦 1. Return Eligibility

You can return most items purchased from barkat.uk or our physical stores within 30 days of purchase or delivery. Returns are accepted if:

  • The item is unused, in original condition, and in its original packaging.

  • You have valid proof of purchase (receipt, order number, or bank statement).

  • The return is initiated within 30 days.


🚫 2. Non-Returnable Items

Some products are not eligible for return or refund unless they are damaged or defective:

  • Perishables (fresh meat, poultry, vegetables, dairy, frozen goods)

  • Customised or special-order items

  • Gift cards and vouchers

  • Sale or clearance items


🏪 3. In-Store Returns (Physical Barkat Stores)

  • Bring your receipt or proof of purchase (digital or paper).

  • Products must be returned unused and in original condition.

  • A team member will assess the return and offer:

    • Exchange

    • Store credit

    • Refund (to original payment method)

We cannot process in-store returns without a receipt.


💻 4. Online Returns (barkat.uk Orders)

Step 1: Contact Us

Email returns@barkat.uk within 30 days with:

  • Your full name and order number

  • The item(s) you wish to return

  • Reason for return

  • Clear photos if item is faulty or incorrect

Step 2: Return Approval

We’ll issue a Returns Authorisation Number (RA#) and return instructions.

Step 3: Send the Item

  • Pack securely, including all original packaging.

  • Clearly label with the RA# provided.

  • Use a trackable courier if possible. You are responsible for return shipping unless the item is faulty or incorrect.


💰 5. Refunds & Processing

  • Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll confirm via email.

  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 3–5 working days.

  • For items bought in-store, cash/card refunds or store credit may be offered.

  • No refunds will be issued without valid proof of purchase.


🔁 6. Faulty, Incorrect, or Damaged Items

If you receive:

  • The wrong item

  • An item that is damaged in transit

  • A product that is faulty or not as described

Please email us at returns@barkat.uk immediately. We will:

  • Cover the cost of return postage

  • Offer a full refund or replacement once verified
